These are fun cookies to make, and they taste great! These would be great dipped in chocolate too!

Butter Twists
adapted from Martha Stewart

1 Cup (2 sticks) Unsalted Butter, softened
1 Cup Sugar
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Large Egg Whites
1/2 tsp. Salt
3 1/4 cup Flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine flour and salt, mix
well and set aside. With a electric mixer beat butter and sugar in a
large bowl until creamy. Mix in vanilla and Egg whites. Add flour
mixture and mix until combined.
Shape dough in 3/4 inch balls. Roll each ball into a 6 inch log. Bend
log in half and twist. (I found it easier to lay the dough on the
counter and kinda braid the cookie overlapping one side and than the
other, because if I twisted the cookie it would break.) Place cookies
on a cookie sheet 1 inch apart and bake for 12-15 minutes. (Mine took 11
minutes, so check early.) Let set on pans for a few minutes, then
transfer to cooling racks. Makes approximately 3 1/2 - 4 dozen cookies.

See them here, and lots more too!
