As I mentioned in my last blog, I plan to spend Valentine’s Day at home with my family. Last year however, I hosted a Valentine’s Day party with friends and neighbors. Are you hosting a Valentine’s Day party and looking for favor or decoration ideas? Here’s a couple of thoughts… For party favors, send your guests home with a “kiss” – mix HERSHEY’S KISSES Chocolates in red and pink Valentine’s Day foils with traditional silver foils in a clear party bag. Tie with red, pink and silver curling ribbon and display them in a basket. The pretty bags add to the décor of the party and are a delicious parting gift.
Or if you’re like me and enjoy putting your creativity to the test, try personalized Valentine’s Day favors reminiscent of old-fashioned English party crackers. It’s a great activity for the family! All you need is some basic craft supplies such as construction paper, scissors, glue, ribbon and tissue paper, as well as a cardboard paper roll and some of your favorite Hershey treats. You can find instructions for this Valentine’s favor here.
I love getting roses on Valentine’s Day each year from my husband. My favorite color is deep pink. The flowers are also a beautiful and classic way to decorate for Valentine’s Day parties. This year I plan on giving friends an affordable treat that is just as special - HERSHEY’S HUGS & KISSES Sweetheart Roses are the perfect gift for a significant other or for adding a festive touch to any party. With some artificial leaves, wire, and of course HERSHEY’S HUGS & KISSES Chocolates, you’ll have a quick and easy gift that’ll make anyone’s heart melt.
I would love to hear about your Valentine’s Day ideas – be sure to share!
Happy baking,
Linda
